Satreka’s belligerence and predictable aggression gives them cover to pursue their objectives, which, if allowed to mature, could result in the brutal and violent destruction of the civilized order. Only Kaitra and Kidreyli working together, assisted by Kidreyli’s telepathic, rather dry-witted horse Tyral, can vanquish the threats, but uncertainty rides in the wind as to whether Kaitra will challenge the burgeoning evil, or become its most powerful weapon.

Good and depressing

I really liked the characters after i got to know them and the story flowed well. The writing was great and captivating and made me really care what happened to the two fate bound lovers, that, however, was also the downside. I was depressed for most of the book. Fated to turn evil and torture the person she loves most in the world and they both know. It seemed for a bit that they could find a way to fight against it but that was like a glass of water while trapped in a burning skyscraper, A small comfort meant to make the pain that much more intense when you realize that they haven't won, in any way shape or form. everytime you think this is it they will find a way to break free it gets brutally beaten down. I like the story i really did, but I felt horrible by the end of it and knowing that the next book is going to be about breaking into hell only to find the one you came to save is now at the left hand of the devil. Well it makes me not look forward to the next one.

Well written story. Great character development. Couldn't put this book down. I can't wait for more. I hope this becomes a series. Does this author have any more titles? This book will not let you down
